1 pound ground buffalo, aka bison
2 large links of turkey or chicken sausage (I prefer the spicy variety)
1 large onion, diced
2 green peppers, diced
1 medium can (16 to 24 ounces will do) crushed tomatoes
1 8-ounce can tomato sauce
1 small can sliced mushrooms
1 8-ounce package sliced fresh mushrooms
1 envelope chili seasoning mix
1 tsp. tabasco sauce (I used 2 tsp)
1 tsp brown sugar
1/4 cup red wine
1 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)
2 cloves minced garlic
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup to 3/4 cup red wine
